Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

A Bishop Auckland home buyer could bid their way to a real bargain at a property auction in Birmingham next month.

A mid-terraced two bedroom property is being offered by Bond Wolfe Auctions with a guide price* of just £1.

But the successful bidder had better be good at DIY or prepared to invest in a project as the property is described by the agents as being “in need of full refurbishment”.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “This is a classic fixer upper and perfect for someone who is looking for a project.

“It is in poor condition and currently owned by a property investment company which has chosen the auction route as they are keen to guarantee a sale.

“It really is a blank canvas. The kitchen and bathroom both come with no fittings and the Energy Performance Rating of G offers scope for improvement!”

The freehold property stands flush to the pavement at 23 Brook Street, Bishop Auckland and has a rear yard.

The property in Bishop Auckland will go under the hammer at Bond Wolfe Auctions next sale on Tuesday 10 September at 10.30am at the regular venue of the Holte Suite at Aston Villa FC.

Bond Wolfe Auctions has already this year offered 350 lots, more than any other auctioneer in Birmingham. This includes properties across the East and West Midlands and as far afield as Wales and Scotland.

The first three auctions have raised nearly £39 million in sales – more than double its nearest competitor.
