Bond Wolfe Auctions’ latest live streamed September auction saw another remarkable result with a 95% success rate, selling 196 of the 207 lots offered for a total of £18,779,150.

The September auction is Bond Wolfe Auctions’ second most successful sale ever in its three year history, only beaten by the February 2020 total of over £20 million.

Chief executive Gurpreet Bassi said: “We had 25,000 viewing the auction live during an 11 hour sale which attracted over 2,000 registered bidders – it was hectic!”

He said he was particularly pleased with the results achieved across the UK, particularly in London and the South East and Manchester and the North East.

Typical of the interest from London-based buyers was the result for 75 Monmouth Road, Edmonton, Enfield. This three bedroom, mid-terraced house, offered on behalf of the LPA Receiver, raised £347,500 from a *guide price of £200,000+.

In Essex, a two bedroom, semi-detached property at 29 Station Road, Sible Hedingham, Halstead, sold for £215,000 from a guide price of £175,000+.

On the Isle of Wight, the hammer fell at £142,500 for a three bedroom, detached house at 9 Newport Road, Ventnor, offered with a guide price of £91,000+.

Over in Wales, a three bedroom, mid-terraced property at 19 Amesbury Road, Pen-Y-Lan, realised £285,000 from a guide price of £175,000+.

Other outstanding results includes a former library in Coppice Road, Walsall, which sold for £319,000 (guide price £175,000+), and a former neighbourhood police base at 51 Prouds Lane, Bilston, which raised £181,000 (guide price £150,000+).

Offered on behalf of The Methodist Church Birmingham Circuit, Eadie House at 110 Langleys Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham, sold for £389,000 from a guide price of £325,000+, and The Cottage, The Drive, Lichfield, a three bedroom, detached property, sold on behalf of The Ministry of Justice, for £182,500 from a guide price of £100,000+.

Several lots sold well in the North West and North East, with good examples being a two bedroom, mid-terraced house at 10 Coomassie Street, Radcliffe, Manchester, selling for £68,500 from a guide price of £30,000+.

And 11 properties in Hartlepool, all two bedroom, mid-terraced houses, all sold for prices ranging from £16,500 to £26,500.

With online auctions now regularly topping 200 lots, Bond Wolfe Auctions has announced plans to launch stand-alone commercial auctions in Spring 2021.
